Helpful Information
1 / What can I expect during my first therapy session?
Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to counseling. We will review important information such as confidentiality, informed consent, your goals for therapy, and any concerns or stressors you would like to discuss.
You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable and work together to identify what support may be most helpful. This first session also gives you a chance to ask questions and determine whether we may be a good fit to work together.
2 / Does Reflective Space Counseling and Consulting PLLC offer in-person therapy?
Reflective Space Counseling and Consulting PLLC currently offers online therapy only. Sessions are provided through a secure telehealth platform for clients located in Texas.
3 / How much do therapy sessions cost?
For clients who do not have insurance or choose not to use insurance, the private pay rate is $160 per session.
If clients plan to use insurance, the cost of counseling will depend on their specific insurance plan and benefits. Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance company directly and ask about the cost of a 60-minute psychotherapy session. The billing code is typically CPT 90837.
The insurance company should be able to explain whether clients need to meet their deductible before sessions are partially covered, as well as their copay or coinsurance per session.

Some plans may still be considered out of network. Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance company directly to confirm benefits, coverage, and estimated session cost.
Headway may also provide an estimated session cost; however, this is only an estimate and may not reflect the final amount determined by the client’s insurance plan.
Out-of-Network Benefits
Clients who plan to use out-of-network benefits may also be accepted. Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance company directly to confirm coverage, benefits, reimbursement options, and any required documentation.
4 / Do you prescribe medications?
We don’t prescribe medications, but if you and your therapist feel it would be helpful, we’re happy to connect you with a trusted psychiatrist for an evaluation. Here at Reflective Space, we focus on providing talk therapy, while psychiatrists handle assessments and prescriptions.
5 / How often will I have therapy sessions?
Most clients see their therapist once a week or once every other week. As you start feeling stronger and reaching your goals, you might decide to space sessions out to once a month. We’ll work together to find the rhythm that fits your life best!
6 / How long will I need to be in therapy?
Everyone’s journey looks a little different! Factors like your goals, your engagement during sessions, and how much you’re able to practice new skills outside of therapy all play a role. That said, many of our clients start noticing improvements in anxiety, mood, and relationships within 10–15 sessions. We’ll set goals together and regularly check in to make sure you’re feeling good about your progress.
7 / Do you work with children?
At this time, we do not offer counseling services for children or teens.
8 / Do you offer couples therapy?
We currently don't offer couples therapy. However, if it would support your progress, your partner is welcome to join a session occasionally — with guidance from your therapist and your approval.
9 / Do you offer family therapy?
We don’t offer traditional family therapy at this time. However, if it would be helpful for your progress, family members can join a session here and there with your therapist’s guidance and your approval.
